Reconnaissance Expedition with National Geographic Wild Costa Rica Escape: Guanacaste’s Coral Reefs & Volcanic Peaks aboard the National Geographic Sea Lion

We hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday season. Once thru this busy holiday season, we wanted to share our wonderful experience
with Lindblad Expeditions & National Geographic in Wild Costa Rica.

We travelled through a UNESCO World Heritage site, enjoyed palm tree lined beaches, and snorkeled through diverse and thriving coral. Explored many different tropical ecosystems, from lowland rain forests to mangrove-lined shores, to inshore reefs. We viewed this wonderful world by ship, DIB’s (Zodiac), kayak, and of course by foot. Wildlife sightings didn’t let us down, as we saw tropical mammals, reptiles, birds, fish and our favorite experience was seeing baby sea turtles hatch
and begin their life adventure across the sandy beach to the water. A lifetime experience for us! It was a privilege to join the professionals of National
Geographic and Lindblad Expeditions in the wonders of this region.

We enjoyed having this educated, communicative crew share their knowledge and insights on our surroundings which truly inspired
our enthusiasm, energy and curiosity during our adventure.
