Tips for saying "I do" away from home.
A Virtuoso travel advisor shares her tips for saying "I Do" away from home.

CHOOSE A DESTINATION.
Every couple has their own style (beach lovers, culture aficionados, foodies), and you want a destination that mirrors that. Wherever you go, look for a venue that matches your vibe.

INVITE EARLY.
Guests will need more time to plan, so send save-the-date notices as early as possible – six months out is ideal.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR GUESTS.
Select an array of hotel-room categories (and costs) to allow for different budgets, and plan events where everyone can celebrate together, such as a sunset sail or golf tournament.

VET YOUR VENDORS.
Use  your travel advisor not just for travel help but also for leads on local florists and DJs. If you fly a photographer in from home, know that some countries (including Mexico and parts of the Caribbean) require a local work permit.

GET HELP!
Group travel is tricky, and even more so when getting married is involved. Experienced advisors can help book a venue, coordinate the delivery of favors, and handle emergencies. After unexpected construction delays at a resort before a client’s wedding, for example, an advisor can jump in, find a new hotel, and rebook all of her guests.
